DESCRIPTION
Those involved in the “early music” movement, or the historically informed performance practice, often discuss terms like “authenticity,” “historically informed,” and “historically inspired” when justifying their approach and intentions as musicians. But many musicians have different perspectives on how to engage with the idea of “authenticity”. In this round-table discussion panel, we seek to discuss various perspectives on historical performance with a few practitioners in the field who work on late 18thcentury and early 19th century repertoire.
