Muskens & Kwiatkowska Duo

Starting in 2019, Anders Muskens and Aleksandra Kwiatkowska met at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague on violin and fortepiano. They performed together in the 2019 Utrecht Early Music Festival Fringe. They participated in master classes with Kati Debretzeni, Walter Reiter, Bart van Oort, Mimi Mitchell, Rachael Beesley. The duo focuses on Classical and Romantic music on period instruments and each member contributes their skills as internationally recognised artists who have performed in Europe, North America, and Asia.

In 2023, they released their first album of the complete works for violin and fortepiano by teh female Romantic composer, Lousie Farrenc. This album was funded by the Canada Council for the Arts, the Adriana Jacoba Fonds, and presented in collaboration with the Schloss Weißenbrunn Foundation Artist Residency.
